IThemes launched their new website last nigh,t which includes a new builder, WP plugins, and improved sales page. Check the new features Here. We've never used any of their products, but if their user experience is anything like their website, I'm sure it's clean and very easy to use.

Also, some Q&A with a couple of the designers

Thanks to Clint for the heads up.

  • Foundry Co. Relaunches

Although Foundry Co. is spread across 3 states, OKC still serves as one of their home bases. They recently relaunched their website, displaying why they're one of the best around. The website is clean and minimal, letting the work speak for itself. This is exactly what you want your design website to be. Great work guys.

    Tonight | TapWerks Ale House & Cafe | 6:30-8:30ish

Come meet the new board tonight, have a drink and mingle with other design enthusiasts. Maybe we'll see you out there.

Anyone else find it hugely ironic that all of the current AIGA events are bar that has comic sans as the logo? Someone needs to work out a deal to get that fixed. Free beer for a logo. Surely we can make that happen.

Earlier last month, the good guys over at Staplegun released their campaign for the Oklahoma Nutrition Information and Education Project, featuring our favorite center, Kendrick Perkins. The billboards are a bit hard to read and digest all the information in 2 seconds, but the commercial is quite humerous. Not sure how they got Perkins to smile either......so good job on that.

  • QB Brandon Weeden Lends Name to "Little Miracle" Documentary

    / Comments (0)

Former OSU quarterback Brandon Weeden, who now plays for the Cleveland Browns, lends his name and support to Swing from the Heart, a fundraiser for The Children's Hospital at OU Medical in Oklahoma City. Moved to action by his relationship with Gavin Kuykendall, Little Miracle is a mini-documentary about Gavin's journey through multiple open heart surgeries before the age of five, Oklahoma's gap in pediatric cardiovascular care, and how Brandon is hoping to make a difference for Oklahoma families dealing with congenital heart disease. It's a tear jerker, be warned. Nice work from Steelehouse Productions.

  • International Distribution for The Rock 'n' Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher

    / Comments (3)

Congratulations to director Justin Monroe and the rest of the talented cast and crew of The Rock 'n' Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher. This award-winning Oklahoma film and soundtrack were both released internationally by Gravitas Ventures and Velvet Blue Music, respectively.

The Rock 'n' Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher is a quirky and endearing comedy that tells the story of the awkward and mostly untalented Duncan Christopher, who, after an early mid-life crisis, moves to the big city of Tulsa to pursue his rock ‘n’ roll dreams and face his demons in the brutal underground world of competitive karaoke.

“It was our dream to shine a light on Oklahoma, to reveal the beauty and heart of this place,” said Justin. “When we left Hollywood to come back home, we hoped to create a unique, heartful, and infectiously fun movie that could communicate across a wide demographic, across social-economic borders, and across oceans. Finally being at this moment, where companies as significant as Gravitas and Velvet Blue are releasing your film and soundtrack to the world on one day and then iTunes is singly promoting you on another day - well, it’s pretty amazing to say the least. Honestly, it’s a dream come true!”
